Dear Parent/Guardian:
I understand that every child learns the material differently, therefore, I use a variety of teaching techniques to reach every students needs. I want to create an open environment in the classroom to encourage student questioning and participation. As an educator I hope to make students see learning as a lifelong process. I will challenge students to use learning as a chance to explore acquired knowledge inside and outside the classroom. Working together we can make the curriculum exciting and understandable.
To help reinforce the learning done in the classroom it is essential that students keep up with homework assignments and home readings. I am asking for your help to maintain those expectations by checking with your son/daughter periodically to make sure that his/her work is being done. I am available to help students individually before school, during my open periods, and after school. I have included a copy of the course syllabus with this letter, notifying you of tentative test and quiz dates. Please note that these dates are subject to change based on student comprehension of the material.
